Hi

This is a first attempt at blogging - it will be short and sweet with lots of pictures. I want to share what has begun as an extraordinary adventure - a journey to Finland in the middle of winter. I am on a four months arts residency at KulttuuriKauppila in Ii near Oulu.

The blog will be an extended visual diary documenting ideas, images, work in progress and anything else that becomes relevant. It will have all the haphazardness and chaos of a sketch book. Its about making art.

A good place to start is my website www.veronicaslater.com that has new images. However it doesn't have the latest piece of work - 24 hour Tor Mor - 2009, a series of 24 paintings. This is where my blog begins ........
